Holly-Hunter
Holly Hunter is an American actor and producer who is well-known for her high-quality performance in movies such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. Her work has been recognized with many awards for her performance, including an Oscar. In her early years, the accomplished actress began playing on stage for various Broadway or Off-Broadway productions. Since her childhood, she performed Helen Keller in a play in fifth grade. She was born deaf in the one ear after suffering from the mumps virus, however she did not permit this to deter her determination to become an actor. As a teenager she studied drama, and then moved into New York City. Hunter was stuck in the elevator of playwright Beth Henley when she met her. Together they created Broadway Crimes of the Heart that marked the debut of Hunter on Broadway. After she was settled in Los Angeles, she began to search for film roles. She landed one as an actress supporting the lead character of Swing Shift. Since then, she has appeared in numerous movies, television shows as well as movies throughout the span of a 30-year career. Holly Hunter received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and has also won an award called the Women in Film Lucy Award.
